#ugh the way his voice wavers over the words ‘decimating’ and ‘family’ #and how you can see how much Peter wants to cry but he just can’t #he can’t because the ability was burned out of him six years ago #he mourned back then #howled for his loss #howled for his whole family and his nephew and niece who were alone now #and he howled for his burns and his own pain #and he has nothing left now #and hearing Kate say the words finally is a relief and yet it still does nothing #because words will never make up for what she did#words won’t bring back his family #won’t give him back the time he could have spent with them #won’t make anything he’s had to do since then right #yet even though her words mean nothing he still needs to hear them #and he closes his eyes when she does #allows himself just a moment before he kills Kate #Peter never wanted any of this and never wanted to become what he did #but the Argents took that away from him #like they took everything else
